My fitness journey started in 2015 when I decided to try out a fun kickboxing class as a way to find a hobby as I entered my late 20s. At this point in my life I had never worked out before and lived a comfortable, sedentary lifestyle. Kickboxing kick started my fitness journey (pun intended), I started to enjoy movement, being active, and challenging myself and my body in a way that I had never done before.
A year after I started kickboxing I lost almost 100 pounds. I had not only added in exercise but changed my lifestyle to be fully fitness consciouspaying attention to what I am putting into my body to help fuel my body. I started instructing classes and 4 years later I am able to spread my passion for health and fitness as well as continue to challenge myself physically by doing triathlons, half marathons, and eventually full marathons. I had the cardio and nutrition part figured out, but was searching for something more when I came across Farrells. Adding in the strength portion of our workout has shown me how important this is in your fitness and I have been challenging myself in ways that I have never done and I am seeing results now that I havent seen in years.
